The cultural association was established in the Montalcino area in 2010 as an APS (Social Promotion Association) under the name Associazione Casa dei Bambini, founded by a group of families eager to explore an alternative approach to education for their children.
With love and determination, we have grown steadily. What began as a project led by one teacher and three nursery-age children has evolved into a well-recognized presence in the region. This growth is thanks to our commitment to education, as well as the organization of activities for both young people and adults, and a wide variety of events.
In 2016, we adopted the name Associazione Poggio d’Oro APS and moved to our current location, just 1 km from the center of Montalcino. Today, our space includes a large green area and several converted buildings that serve as classrooms. Every day, we welcome around 25 children aged 3 to 14. With a team of six educators and administrators, the association supports families through a consistent and comprehensive educational journey—from preschool through middle school.
Over the years, Poggio d’Oro has become a vibrant gathering place for both children and adults in the Montalcino community. Our work is built on three core pillars: education, intercultural integration, and offering training for both educators and families.
